Moon Energy Massage

It’s important to take time for your health, well-being and happiness through times of self-care. I am always on the go. I love working and just do not know when to stop. Even though I am doing exactly what I love everyday it became clear to me that I needed to start setting some time aside for me. This is a time where I put my phone away to quiet my mind and clear my head of all the outside stresses.
My friend Christel O’Rourke is a talented masseuse with healing hands and a great calming energy. Her studio is called Moon Energy Massage located in Kindred a Beauty Collective in gorgeous Avila Beach. It’s a safe environment of soothing music, calming aromatherapy while relaxing on a comfortable table.
I chose a hot stone/reiki massage with Chakra clearing and crystal healing. Wow! What a blissful experience. I had never had a hot stone massage. I always see these massages advertised with a photo of a fit person laying on their stomach with a configuration of hot stones strategically placed on their back. That is what I expected when I got there, but to my surprise, it turned out to be so much more. Christel uses the hot stones in her hands to work into the massage. I could feel my tight, stressed muscles release and let go of any stress pent up in them. I have a bad shoulder and Christel concentrated on that area to make it feel so much better. The last part of the massage included the Reiki energy work, Chakra clearing and crystal healing. I did fall asleep at one point during our session but when I woke up, I had a new level of calm I hadn’t felt in quite some time. When our session was over, we met outside the studio where Christel gave me my reiki reading and explained what she learned about me during her energy work. It was very moving. I am so very thankful for this time I had with her.
After leaving Kindred, I couldn’t seem to just jump in the car and head off. I did something I rarely do. I walked on the beach, I watched the waves, I took in deep breaths of fresh ocean air and then I just sat on the beach enjoying the last rays of the sunset. That evening I slept so well. I went to work the next day absolutely high on my experience. One of my clients saw the joy in my face and booked her massage with Christel the very next day.
